This report summarises the results of a literature review; consultations with service providers, women with lived experiences and stakeholders; and findings from the BC Society of Transition Houses Reducing Barriers project. Conducted by the Canadian Women’s Foundation, the report examined issues for women experiencing violence and mental illness or substance abuse. The purpose of the review was to inform funding priorities, analyze emerging trends, and understand the current environment of service delivery.
