Notes:	"March 2005 - March 2007" General Overview: In this report, the South Australian Government outlines its achievements and initiatives of the first two years of its Women’s Safety Strategy:(2005), to improve safety for women. Discussion: The report outlines the principles underpinning the Women’s Safety Strategy, and the current statistics pertaining to assault and violence against women. The government’s key directions for addressing women’s safety are outlined, and the strategies of the various working groups are described. The working groups are tasked with progressing specific priority areas, namely: * Women, work and violence The report discusses the Integrated Services Model, which has been developed through the family safety framework and is being trialled. The remainder and bulk of the document presents the government’s achievements in: the prevention of violence against women; service provision; protection; and performance from individual departments.
