This report is published annually and includes different types of recorded crimes, their place of occurrence, offenders’ and victims’ profiles, and the responses of criminal justice agencies. Although it does not specifically identify family violence, the figures nevertheless can indicate the context in which the violence (such as homicides, assaults or sexual assaults) took place, in the section of selected crime profiles, particularly in reference to the victim-offender relationships for assault and homicide victims as well as to the type of location and gender of the victim of assault. In the crime victimisation section, women’s reports of victimisation also give a snapshot relevant to domestic violence. |
