The Action Plan aims to promote coordination of existing initiatives, in relation to violence against women, to reduce gaps and duplication. It details the structure of the Plan and highlights such key areas for strategy planning as: prevention and information provision; pathways for women between support services; legal services and court assistance; and planning and policy. Concludes with an emphasis on the need for government support for coordinated community responses to violence against women. Models of coordination are included in the appendix.
