Title: Community perceptions report 2014 : family and domestic violence
Authors: Anglicare WA
Keywords: Statistics;Domestic violence;Surveys;Family law
Year: 2014
Publisher: Anglicare
Notes:  This report, based on a survey of 918 women, investigates family and domestic violence in Western Australia. Issues covered include: public perceptions, acceptance & tolerance, experiences of victimisation and perpetration, impact, availability & accessibility of information & assistance, and community intervention. A list of 29 behaviours associated with FDC was developed, and used as a reference for many of the survey questions. The survey indicated a strong prevalence of victim blaming and a generally limited understanding of FDV, and concludes that we must continue to raise public awareness of this type of abuse and enhance our response systems.
