Recommendations for the EU to improve data collection on intimate partner violence

Abstract

"The following recommendations aim to support Member<br/ >States in their efforts to improve administrative data collection<br/ >on intimate partner violence. We believe they would<br/ >make a valuable contribution to the improvement of the<br/ >International Classification of Crime for Statistical Purposes,<br/ >which is being developed by Eurostat and UNODC, and the<br/ >integration of a gender perspective so that crimes of violence<br/ >against women can become visible in statistics. Reliable,<br/ >systematic and comparable data on intimate partner<br/ >violence (IPV) is necessary to measure the extent, dynamics<br/ >and consequences of this form of violence against women"
