Abstract:  "This paper explores some of the challenges, tensions and opportunities
in workplace-based programs for the primary prevention of violence
against women, based on findings from program evaluation. The
purpose of this paper is twofold: firstly, it will inform the continuous
improvement of Women's Health Victoria's Take a Stand program to
ensure it remains consistent with current evidence and good practice.
Secondly, it is anticipated that the findings will contribute to the
evidence base on effective primary prevention practice in general,
particularly in the context of the current focus in Victoria on workplaces
as a key setting for the prevention of family violence and violence
against women, and on bystander approaches to primary prevention."
