| Abstract: | This Insights Report represents the first phase of a collaboration between Women’s Aid and Arthur Cox LLP to examine the enforcement of coercive control legislation in Ireland. The report reviews publicly reported cases from 2019 to 2024, focusing on the dynamics of coercive control, its legal prosecution, and the experiences of victims-survivors. The findings highlight the challenges in prosecuting coercive control and provide insights into how the legislation is being applied. |
