Abstract:  This report provides a comprehensive overview of the progress made in implementing the recommendations from the Women’s Safety and Justice Taskforce’s reports and the Commission of Inquiry into Queensland Police Service responses to domestic and family violence. Covering the period from October 2023 to March 2024, the report details the achievements, challenges, and future directions of the reform program. Key milestones include the introduction of new legislation on coercive control and affirmative consent, the establishment of new support structures such as the High Risk Team for Domestic and Family Violence and the Sexual Assault Response Team in Townsville, and the enhancement of police training and community engagement efforts. The report emphasizes the importance of collaboration, consistency, and communication in achieving sustainable and effective reforms to improve the safety and justice outcomes for women and children in Queensland.
