Abstract:

This "In Brief" report summarises the findings from a comprehensive study on the experiences, understandings, and responses to workplace sexual harassment among migrant and refugee women in Australia. It highlights the intersecting issues of exploitative work conditions, racial discrimination, and sexual harassment, which contribute to the unique challenges faced by these women. The ANROWS report, Migrant and refugee women: A national study of experiences of, understandings of and responses to sexual harassment in the workplace (Segrave, 2024), underscores the need for integrated policy responses and culturally responsive support services to address the complex vulnerabilities of migrant and refugee women in the workplace.
