Abstract:  This report presents the findings of the Safe Nest Group (SNG) pilot project, an early intervention program designed for mothers and infants who have experienced family violence. The program was evaluated in Melbourne, Australia, with a focus on its impact on maternal depression, stress, anxiety, trauma symptoms, and the mother-infant relationship. The SNG program is a six-session, infant-led intervention structured around trauma-informed principles, offering support through play and dyadic activities tailored to the needs of mothers and their young children.
