Abstract: | This report presents data from the Victorian Suicide Register (VSR) on the prevalence of family violence among people who suicided between 2009 and 2016. It explores the role of family violence, particularly intimate partner violence, and identifies key risk factors including mental illness, legal stressors, and financial difficulties. The report emphasises the need for better trauma-informed care and risk assessment tools to address the intersection of family violence and suicidality. |
