dc.description.abstract | This report explores the use of invitational narrative approaches to engage men who use violence in intimate partner relationships. Drawing on post-structuralist and feminist theoretical frameworks, the study examines how these methods enable behavioural and attitudinal changes while prioritising the safety of women and children. It presents findings from a two-stage research design that includes a state of knowledge review and interviews with practitioners, men, and women. The study highlights the role of storytelling in challenging violence-supportive narratives and fostering accountability. Key findings include the importance of understanding men’s ethical preferences, addressing shame, and adopting respectful, competency-focused practices. The report also discusses implications for practitioners and policymakers, emphasising the need for integrated women’s safety programs alongside perpetrator interventions. | en_US |
