This report explores the client–worker relationship within men’s behaviour change programs (MBCPs) in Australia. Using qualitative research methods informed by critical hermeneutics, the study examines how facilitators, program participants, supervisors, and (ex-)partners perceive and experience these relationships. Findings indicate that facilitators who engage in highly personalised client–worker relationships contribute to program engagement and retention, helping participants challenge violent behaviours and attitudes. The study also highlights challenges such as collusion, emotional burnout among facilitators, and the need for structured supervision. The report provides recommendations for practitioners, program managers, and policymakers to enhance the effectiveness of MBCPs and support sustained behaviour change.en_US
