This report presents a practical guide for evaluating Men’s Behaviour Change Programs (MBCPs) aimed at men who use domestic and family violence. It outlines key evaluation principles, including program logic development, methodological considerations, ethical issues, and measuring perpetrator accountability and behaviour change. The guide is informed by a state-of-knowledge review, interviews with evaluators, and consultation with practitioners. Findings highlight the challenges of evaluating MBCPs, including gaps in program fidelity assessment, the need for a whole-system approach, and limited long-term outcome evaluation. The report provides recommendations for strengthening evaluation practice to ensure interventions effectively contribute to victim and survivor safety and perpetrator behaviour change.

See also The evaluation guide: A guide for evaluating behaviour change programs for men who use domestic and family violence.en_US
