Abstract:  This report presents the findings of a review of the Motivation for Change (MfC) program, an in-language, in-culture intervention developed by inTouch Multicultural Centre Against Family Violence in Victoria. Designed for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) men who use violence, the program delivers a 15-week structured approach incorporating individual case management, family safety contact work, and culturally tailored content. The review, conducted by the Monash Gender and Family Violence Prevention Centre, examines the effectiveness of the MfC program in engaging participants, addressing help-seeking barriers, and supporting behaviour change. Findings highlight the importance of culturally responsive perpetrator interventions and the need for greater workforce investment, longer program durations, and expanded availability of in-language men’s behaviour change programs. The report offers recommendations for policy and practice, emphasising the need for sustained funding and systemic support for multicultural perpetrator interventions.
