Abstract: | This forthcoming ANROWS report presents an integrative review of evidence on interventions for migrant and refugee men who use domestic, family and sexual violence (DFSV). While research has highlighted the complex factors shaping migrant and refugee women’s and children’s experiences of DFSV and help-seeking, there remains limited evidence on interventions targeting men who use violence in these communities. The review synthesises international academic and grey literature to identify relevant programs, best practice principles and culturally grounded approaches suitable for adaptation in Australia. Findings indicate a need for holistic, trauma-informed, community-led alternatives to existing models. Future interventions must be co-designed with communities, rigorously evaluated, and grounded in justice-oriented, culturally affirming frameworks to create meaningful change and improve outcomes for women and children. |
