Notes:  The Standing Committee on Social Issues was tasked with inquiring into and reporting on domestic violence trends and issues in New South Wales (NSW), with a particular focus on the use of GPS bracelets, prevention, early intervention and examining the adequacy of existing penalties for domestic violence. This follows from a report released by the NSW Auditor General in 2011 into the performance of government agencies responsible for prevention, early intervention and tertiary responses to domestic violence. The NSW Government is due to release a Domestic and Family Violence Framework in 2013 to deliver an integrated, whole of government response to domestic violence.

The report includes eighty-nine recommendations to the NSW Government.
