Abstract:  This article provides practical recommendations for child protection practitioners to improve cultural safety in their work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families. It emphasizes the importance of cultural humility, understanding cultural strengths, and prioritizing relationships and community connections. By adopting these principles, practitioners can create more culturally safe environments, leading to better outcomes for First Nations children in the child protection system.
