Abstract:  The National Outcome Standards for Perpetrator Interventions (NOSPI) was developed as part of the National Plan to Reduce Violence Against Women and Their Children 2010–2022. It provides a national framework for holding perpetrators of domestic, family, and sexual violence accountable through coordinated system responses. The NOSPI sets six key standards focused on ensuring perpetrators receive appropriate interventions, face justice and legal consequences, and participate in evidence-based behaviour change programs. The framework highlights the need for collaboration across justice, health, and social service sectors to improve perpetrator interventions while prioritising the safety of women and children. It also acknowledges the importance of workforce capability and continuous improvement through data and evaluation. The report outlines guiding principles, implementation strategies, and the role of government and community partners in enhancing perpetrator accountability within Australia’s domestic and family violence response system.
