Abstract:  This report presents a cost-benefit analysis of Dardi Munwurro’s men’s healing programs, conducted by Deloitte Access Economics on behalf of The Healing Foundation. Dardi Munwurro is an Aboriginal-led organisation delivering healing and behaviour change programs for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men, with a focus on breaking cycles of intergenerational trauma, reducing family violence, and supporting cultural reconnection. The analysis assesses three key programs: the Men’s Healing and Behaviour Change program, Ngarra Jarranounith Place, and the Journeys Program. Using quantitative and qualitative data, the report evaluates participant outcomes, including reductions in substance misuse, increased housing stability, improved employment rates, and decreased contact with the justice system. The cost-benefit analysis estimates a return on investment of 50%-190%, highlighting the economic and social value of culturally informed healing approaches. The report underscores the need for continued investment in Aboriginal-led healing programs and provides recommendations for strengthening program sustainability and impact.
